Have you already heard of the word “reborning”? This process actually pertains to transforming dolls into lifelike babies. its whole
face and body resembles a lot of a newborn baby and this is the reason why most doll collectors are fascinated with it. A well crafted piece can look as real as an actual human. All items are
made by hand but not necessarily from scratch. It is put together by craftsmen while kits are also available for beginners.
An important aspect in the process of reborning involves the use of the right type of reborn supplies. With one’s
creativity and artistic talent, it would be less difficult to start creating your own doll depending on your personal style. Here are a few supplies that you must have in order to be sure that
you are on the way to a great masterpiece:
1.The first thing you need is a baby doll, preferably a Berenguer doll which is a popular choice for reborners. It is because these dolls are very realistic and does have a resemblance with
a baby. Being made of vinyl also gives a more convincing skin appearance.
2.Heat set paints are also very important especially when you are trying to achieve the desired skin tone for your doll. You might need to purchase a few shades and mix them to get the
desired blend of colors.
3.If you want your doll to look very real then mohair should be used rather than wigs. Choose a color that is also common for babies such as brunette or blonde. This process might take time to do
but it’s worth every effort.
Lastly purchase polyglass baby doll eyes that come in different types. Choose one that is perfect with the doll’s complexion. And of course, weighting beads are also very important. This will
finish up the process by putting weight on the doll as if it is a real baby.
